Solving a Cubic Cell Formation Problem with Quality Index Using a Hybrid Meta-Heuristic Approach

Although most previous studies on cell formation have involved the assignment of parts and machines to cells, in recent years workers has also been considered taken into account human factor. An important step for successful implementation a Cellular Manufacturing System is decide appropriate groups parts, machines, then assign them cells. Consideration skills processing enhanced performance. In this study, problem cubic that takes three-dimensional part-machine-worker matrix addressed, minimization exceptional element void as well maximization part quality index aimed. The mathematical model used study was coded GAMS 24.2.1 software. A hybrid GA-SA approach proposed solution large instances. relative Percentage Deviation performance utilized evaluate algorithm.
